Copio de Universo Marvel ...
Uno de most popular writers, fruitful and interesting Marvel 70 and 80 years was Bill Mantlo . The writer was the author of very memorable stages in collections such as The Incredible Hulk and decisively involved in the popularization of a "hero" who, in fact, was an adaptation of a famous toy at the time U.S. ROM, the knight of stars.
20 years ago Mantlo was struck, and as a result of the accident suffered brain damage that kept him out of work. A double victim, since it is also an economic-labor system he developed his most creative effort, so that his family does not have sufficient financial resources to ensure a decent life.
in order to alleviate what can this circumstance, Floating World Comics has launched a second auction of originals inspired by the adventures of ROM , whose benefits will be delivered to the family to pay Mantlo medical expenses.
You can see all the original auction on the blog Spacenite , and participate in it through eBay . Below you have some samples ...

For my part, as an artist I have not much, I shall make some recreation that another series covers ROM ( with permission of its original authors course). Let's see if I collect something, however little is ...
Below you have the spectacular picture that made Walt Simonson for the first round of auctions held in 2009.
23/2/2011 UPDATE: As I said Sebastian, it is possible that many of you may know who is Mantlo but may know the show or simply do not have read ever. Here you have the Wikipedia entry (in English), and the site ROM Spaceknight Revisited is a landmark.
seems that comics ROM can not be republished or publish internationally because the owners of rights, Parker Brothers, do not.
If you pique my curiosity, comics bacteria can be found easily on the net, you just have to look "ROM Spaceknight" in Google . And if you just like them, you can buy very cheap on eBay batch.
numbers 17 and 18 are key, because it displayed the X-Men and have Frank Miller covers . My favorite is the story arc that ends at No. 50, War Skrulls vs Dire Wraiths .
Those numbers are also drawn by Sal Buscema , like most of the series, and are tinted by Akin & Garvey, who do a job that leaves no one indifferent. I love it, but there are many people who hate starting own Buscema.
